Fry’s solder is an activated rosin cored solder wire developed for general hand soldering applications. Ultra low residue solder wire results in barely visible residues and good connection on all solderable surfaces. Fry’s solder is the best choice of solder wire for re-work or repair applications. Fry’s Solders contain 2% silver which many will know as a Low Melt Point alloy (LMP). This has a (Eutectic) melt point at 179 degrees centigrade. Non-cored solder is also available in stick and bar forms (Tinmans) and Bakers soldering fluxes complete the range.
